Spirit Airlines is pleased to announce two more new nonstop routes from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, increasing the number of cities it serves nonstop from Chicago to 23. New daily nonstop service to San Diego and Philadelphia will begin on April 16, 2015, with one daily flight to each city.

“Chicago residents have made it clear they value Spirit’s super low total prices – our Bare FaresTM with Frill ControlTM” said Mark Kopczak, Vice President of Network Planning for Spirit Airlines. “Spirit’s growth in Chicago to so many new cities wouldn’t be possible without the loyal support of our value-conscious customers. We will continue to work to add flights to more nonstop destinations our customers desire, while continuing to hold the line on low fares.”

“On behalf of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, I want to congratulate Spirit Airlines for continuing to expand its service since it started operating at O’Hare International Airport in 2000,” said Rosemarie S. Andolino, Commissioner, Chicago Department of Aviation. “We welcome these routes and added choices for travelers from Chicago’s global gateway.”

Spirit’s new flights are available for purchase now at and through other travel sites soon.
