SWISS pleased with AIR14 presence and produces exclusive short film

Swiss International Air Lines welcomed some 50,000 visitors to its 1,000-square-metre SWISS Stand during the AIR14 air show, which was staged at Payerne Air Force Base in Western Switzerland from 30 August to 7 September. The event’s “Dream Job Street” facility also offered over 7,500 Swiss schoolchildren a glimpse into the various careers within the aviation world. And SWISS has further produced an exclusive film of the finest moments in the two spectacular AIR14 flypasts by one of its Airbus A330s in formation with the F-5E Tigers of the Patrouille Suisse aerobatics team.

The two Saturday flypasts by SWISS Airbus A330-300 HB-JHN escorted by the six F-5E Tigers of the Swiss Air Force’s Patrouille Suisse aerobatics team, which was celebrating its own 50th birthday, were a genuine highlight of the recent AIR14 air show in Payerne. Swiss International Air Lines has now produced a short film featuring some of the finest images and impressions of these activities.

The seven aircraft involved were carrying no fewer than 38 cameras among them, permitting some spectacular footage to be obtained of these manoeuvres aloft. The production also features all nine of the pilots in their cockpits; and it offers unique views of the AIR14 show itself from a previously-unseen airborne perspective.
