Novo Boeing 777-300ER da British Airways esteve no Rio de Janeiro

No dia 19 de Outubro o Boeing 777-300ER com prefixo G-STBH foi entregue nas instalações da fabricante em Everett, Washington para British Airways. A aeronave decolou às 15:52 PDT de Paine Field (PAE-KPAE) e aterrizou às 08:34  BST na manhã seguinte no Aeroporto de Cardiff (CWL-EGFF) para padronização de cabine. Na tarde do dia 05 de Novembro o Speedbird decolou rumo ao Aeroporto de Heathrow em Londres aonde no mesmo dia realizou o seu primeiro voo comercial, a rota inaugural foi Londres (LHR-EGLL) – Singapura (SIN-WSSS) – Sydney (SYD-SYYS). 

Comportando até 299 passageiros, o 777-300ER conta com 14 suítes fechadas na Nova Primeira Classe (1-2-1), 56 assentos flat bed na Club World (2-4-2), 44 assentos na World Traveller Plus (2-4-2) e 185 assentos na World Traveller (3-3-3).

Na última sexta-feira (08/11), quase nove horas após retornar de Sydney (via Singapura) às 13:54 BST o novo Speedbird estava a caminho do Rio de Janeiro onde aterrizou às 22:49 BRST. New British Airways’ Boeing 777-300ER was in Rio de Janeiro last week

On October 19th British Airways took delivery of its eighth Boeing 777-300ER at Boeing’s facilities in Everett, WA. The aircraft took off at 03:52 PM PDT from Paine Field (PAE-KPAE) and landed at 08:34 AM BST in the following morning at Cardiff Airport (CWL-EGFF) for a cabin fit. In the afternoon of November 5th the plane took off to Heathrow Airport where in the same day made ​​its first commercial flight, the inaugural route was London (LHR-EGLL) – Singapore (SIN-WSSS) – Sydney (SYD-SYYS).

With up to 299 seats, the 777-300ER has 14 closed suites in the New First Class (1-2-1), 56 flat bed seats in Club World (2-4-2), 44 standard seats in World Traveller Plus (2-4-2) and 185 standard seats in World Traveller (3-3-3).

On last friday (11/08), about nine hours that the Speedbird returned from Sydney (via Singapore) at 01:54 PM BST the airplane was on the way to Rio de Janeiro where it landed at 10:49 PM BRST.
